SOMAINI SULL’ORLO DEL VULCANO<\/strong> e CORPO URBANO per MUSEO SEGRETO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the occasion of Museocity 2026<\/strong>, the Foundation is organizing guided tours of the exhibition Somaini on the Edge of the Volcano. The Magic Etna Series. Homage to Maria Corti<\/strong><\/em>, which presents a broad and representative selection of the inks that make up the Magic Etna<\/strong> <\/em>series (1999). Organized in collaboration with the Maria Corti Foundation of the University of Pavia, the exhibition celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the death of the sculptor Francesco Somaini (1926-2005) and opens the program of exhibitions and publishing initiatives dedicated to his works on paper launched for the centenary of his birth, which includes the open access publication of the Catalogue Raisonn\u00e9<\/em> of his graphic, copperplate, and photographic works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of Museo Segreto<\/strong>, the Foundation is also presenting for the first time a corpus of approximately one hundred drawings and autograph writings, part of the sculptor’s unsuccessful publishing project, “Corpo Urbano”.<\/strong> Some of these drawings are now being published in a forthcoming book of the same title, edited by Fulvio Irace for Johan&Levi, Milan. The choice to include these works in the exhibition dedicated to “cultural endeavors” is dictated by their partial publication by a prestigious publishing house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
